When embarking on a lifestyle change it’s important that the goal comes from you and what YOU want.

When a doctor, workmate, friend or significant other keeps telling you to lose weight or start exercising, you may feel pushed rather than pulled towards your goals. This makes it hard to keep your motivation levels up if you are embarking on this goal to please others instead of yourself.

To combat this, sit down and think about -

Why you want to make this lifestyle change?

How will it make you feel?

How will it positively influence your life?

How will you feel in 6 months time if you adapted this lifestyle change and saw the positive impacts it has on your life?

These are all important questions to ask yourself before, during and after you embark on your new lifestyle change to keep yourself motivated! Most of all make sure you are doing it for YOU and nobody else.
